Meiji Tokyo Renka

Meiji Tokyo Renka is a Japanese visual novel produced by Mages, with character design and art provided by Karu. The series follows Mei Ayazuki, a high school girl who is sent back in time to the Meiji period and explores her relationships with spirits and Japanese historical figures.

The protagonist, a quite normal high school girl named Ayazuki Mei, meets the self proclaimed illusionist Charlie on a night with a red full moon. Due to his hand she travels through time to the Meiji era of Japan. There, where Mononoke had been observed, was a sort of mysterious Meiji Era "Tokyo".
